Hi all you catlovers !
My name is Lena Ekström, and I am breeding Sacred Birmans under the prefix of "RausHöjden's".

My prefix is registred in SVERAK/FIFe.
My family, my cats and myself live in Sweden in an area called Skåne, in the city of Helsingborg.

My love for, and interest in animals, and especially cats, is in my "genes",

since I was born and raised on a farm with a lot of animals.
I bought my first pedigree-cat in 1982, a sealpoint Burmese girl: "Isabell".

When I showed her as a "Newbie", in Malmoe, I saw this fabulously beautiful cat,

and I was instantly in love with the Sacred Birman.
It wasn't though until 1989, that I became an owner of this wonderful breed.

Her name was Hasseliden's Tabby Tridi (SBI n 21) and in the summer of 1990, Alfons (SBI a 21) joined.
 I had my first litter in 1991, consisting of two sealtabbypoint kittens.

Some years have passed, and the cats and kittens have grown in numbers accordingly.
My commitment to this lovely breed of cats, has just grown, and today I see how much there is to

learn about our cats and the breeding of these. We breeders have a big responsibility towards

the breed we have chosen. Cooperation and openmindedness, us breeders in between, ought to be obvious,

in order for us to be able to please our selves and others, with healthy Birman babies in many years to come.

If you have once gotten to know and love a Birman, you are for ever "Saved" !
